Joker is one of the iconic characters in comic book history. Throughout the stories set in Gotham City, serving as a villain and often a nemesis for Batman, the DC Comics legend has never been given a single, definitive back story in the comics. Multiple stories have accumulated over the years and in different mediums, providing versions of what the character's past might be, but no one can say for certain whether the character's story really started. Joaquin Phoenix's Joker, however, provided insight into the Clown Prince of Gotham version of the film - as well as preserving a good amount of mystery around it.

Nominated for the three-time Academy Award, Phoenix will play the titular villain in The Joker, the hangover director Todd Phillips behind the camera. The film, scheduled to hit theaters on October 4, 2019, also features high-profile actors who are Academy Award winners and a story that is expected to significantly detract from the DC Comics lore.

This is not the first time the Joker has tried. Although the Joker's backstory was a controversial step in the history of comedy, several writers have revisited the area that writer-director Todd Phillips and actor Joaquin Phoenix will write again later this year. There is a consistent trend in comics, cartoons, and movie revisions: the Joker can think differently of the past at different times and invent the story of some sources based on who he is talking to, so he can handle them better. The Joker is often an agent of chaos, so it seems appropriate that his origins do not go up perfectly.

Before the movie is over, the Joker has revealed himself with no political motivation. He was just about to act and provoke chaos in the process. He used his own blood to kill talkhow host Murray Franklin, to be arrested, to get out of a police car, and to laugh at the classic joker on his face. Meanwhile, a random Gotham citizen inspired by the Clown will follow the Wayne family from their movie theater and kill both Thomas and Martha, leaving Bruce Wayne orphaned and on his way to becoming DC Comics legend known as Batman.
